Good to know about our
Facilities

In general

Identity card

Upon arrival, you will be asked for identification, which can be a camping pass, passport, credit card or driving license.

Payment

At Randbøldal Camping you can pay by cash or by credit card such as Dankort, Eurocard-Mastercard and Visa.

Internet

WiFi is for free. The connection is best at the reception and Café Skjulestedet.

Tent sites

Our campsite is equipped for tents, caravans, motorhomes (> 7.5 m and > 4 t) and trailers (> 5.5 m, without tow bar).

You can also bring an extra tent of a limited size.

Parking

Free parking available for all guests.

Holidays should be easy – that’s why all chalets, apartments and mobile homes have parking space for one car right next door.

The majority of tent and caravan sites also have space for cars to park nearby.

Depending on the size of the tent and caravan, of course.

Dogs on the campsite

Our four-legged friends are of course welcome at the campsite. Please do not leave your dog alone in the cottage and when walking, please keep dogs on a leash at all times.

There is a lovely dog forest very close to the campsite for free use.

Waste sorting

We practice sorting waste so that Randbøldal Camping can remain a beautiful place. Will you help us?

We have three waste stations across the site. One at the main building by the “sports ground”, one by the “Hyggedalen” and a main station at the end of Café Skjulestedet. Please ask us at reception if you can’t find it.

We sort into 10 fractions: residual waste, food waste, cardboard, paper, paper, metal, beverage cartons, plastic, glass, hazardous waste and textiles. Deposits can be handed in at the store.

In addition, we are a fundraiser for projects that contribute to good causes and sustainable solutions.

Including can rings for Project Can Ring, tights for DEAR DENIER and balls from roll-on deodorants for Kugledynehjælpenjælpen.

The area and location

Our location

Randbøldal Camping is located in Jutland. We like to call it in the heart of Denmark, by Vejle Å and only 12 km from Legoland®.

The area and smoking policy

Our campsite is beautifully set in a valley among hills and forest. The site is predominantly covered with grass and the entire campsite area is fenced.

In order to accommodate all our guests, we have a total ban on smoking in places where guests are usually present, which means: toilets, kitchens, TV rooms, cabins, apartments and rooms.

Sports and activities

The lake

One of the major attractions of the campsite is our nature lake. Built in 1934, the lake has an area of 5000 m2 and is a natural lake where the water level is replenished by groundwater.

It is possible to rent pedal boats, which is a fun activity when the Danish summer sun is beating down on us.

For children

Your children won’t be bored at Randbøldal Campingplads. Good playground, lake, trampolines, table tennis, pedalos and mooncars. These are just some of the activities we offer for children.

Rent a bike or a mooncar for the kids and take the whole family for a bike ride in the beautiful area just outside the campsite. There are many good routes and different lengths.

Cycling tours

The area around the campsite offers great walks or bike rides – also for the active person who wants to get a rush and race through the forest on a mountain bike. You can rent bikes at Randbøldal Camping, so it couldn’t be easier (see our price list).

Fishing

If you like fishing, within a radius of 8-12 km from the campsite you have several opportunities to get out with your line.

There is both Vejle river and Put and Take nearby. Visit the reception desk for more information on fishing opportunities.

We are happy to help you and you can also buy fishing permits from us.

Also keep an eye on our activity calendar, when we occasionally organize fishing trips.

Attractions in Randbøldal

Randbøldal is generally a nice area to spend your vacation. In addition to good hiking trails and various cycling routes right outside the campsite, you can also explore:
– Pentaque and Krolf
– 4 km long go-kart track
– Museum with aquatic experimentarium

On the site itself, you can frolic by the lake or at the edge of the forest, or you can take advantage of our own activities:
– 2 playgrounds with trampolines
– Table tennis
– Billiards
– Riser golf
– Pedalos
– Mooncars

Café and shop

Café

Our café Skjulestedet is the perfect place to satisfy your hunger. Everything from easy dishes to good traditional Danish food and children’s menus.

Eat in the café or take your food with you. We have Happy Kids bags for the kids while you wait or a play area where time flies.

We also have a good varied breakfast buffet between 8-10 am in high season.

Mini-market

In our shop near the reception, we have a good and wide selection of groceries and sweets.

We also have freshly baked bread every day, which you can pre-order the day before.

The shop is open every day in high season and closed in winter.

There are good shopping facilities just 3 km from the campsite.

ATM machine

The nearest ATM is about 12 km from the campsite.

Fax and photocopies

At our reception you have access to a fax, photocopier and scanner.

El

On the campsite you have access to electricity with a capacity of 10 A.

To connect to power, a CEE adapter plug is needed.

Washing and cooking

Cooking

On the campsite you will find two good and well-equipped guest kitchens with access to both hot and cold water and gas stoves. Use of our guest kitchens is free of charge.

If you choose to stay in a cabin or mobile home, most are equipped with kitchen facilities.

Remember: the water on the campsite is clean and can be used/drunk directly from the tap in our kitchens, all other water points, as well as in cabins and apartments.

Washing

On the campsite grounds we have a special laundry area equipped with both washing machines and dryers.

You can buy tokens at reception.

We’ve also made sure you can get your clothes ironed.

Refrigerators

Ask at reception for more information about access to a fridge or freezer.

If you have chosen to stay in one of our cabins, mobile homes or apartments, you will have your own fridge.

We have three sanitary complexes on the campsite, two of them with bathing facilities.

The use of showers and cold and hot water is free of charge.

Facilities

Randbøldal Campingplads is generally a handicap-friendly place, however, we are located in a valley, so a hilly landscape must be expected.

We have accessible common areas and bathing facilities.

Our Mobile Home Easy is also designed to be more accessible for people with disabilities.
